HOMEWOOD, Pa. — One person suffered minor injuries in a collision Tuesday between a Pittsburgh fire truck and a car in Homewood, city Fire Chief Darryl Jones said.

The collision, which involved a truck from the city’s Engine 17 station on Hamilton Avenue, occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. at Hamilton and Brushton avenues, Jones said. “My understanding is that one civilian was taken with minor injuries to, I believe, UPMC Presbyterian hospital,” Jones said.

Jones said he was awaiting a full report on the events surrounding the crash.
