SHAPLEIGH, Maine— A Maine firefighter is facing charges after a fire truck crash last summer.
Maine state police filed a charge of driving to endanger against Capt. Natasha Kinney, who has been with the fire department for five years, reported WMTW.
After returning from a dryer fire on Aug. 8, Kinney drove the pumper truck back to the station.
She lost control as she rounded a bend and swerved to avoid motorcyclists.
The truck flipped and an injured Capt. Kinney had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Crash investigators believe high driving speeds may have caused the accident.
