NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — The City of North Charleston unveiled its pink fire truck on Friday — an event/action the city hopes will raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
City officials said the truck was dedicated to a particular individual, Brenda Cawley, who city officials say has shown brave resolve and been an inspiration to others in the fight against breast cancer.
Following the dedication, those in attendance were invited to sign the truck with commemorations to those affected by the disease.
