NEWARK, N.J. — A hotel shuttle and a bus carrying FedEx employees have collided at Newark Liberty International Airport, killing a driver and injuring three passengers.
Steve Coleman, spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, says a shuttle operated by the airport’s Marriott hotel and a First Transit bus contracted by FedEx crashed head-on around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The hotel shuttle bus driver was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark. Port Authority spokesman Mike Hall says three passengers aboard that vehicle were injured, including a woman in serious but stable condition. The First Transit bus driver was not injured.
Port Authority police are investigating the crash.
