3 hospitalized in NY wreck with emergency services SUV

The SUV was on its way to a fire and had its lights and sirens on when it T-boned a car

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Three people were hospitalized Wednesday night following a crash between a car and an emergency services SUV.

It happened at about 8 p.m. at the intersection of Robinson and Becker streets.

Police said the SUV was on its way to a fire and had its lights and sirens on when the driver of the car drove into its path.

The SUV T-boned the car and forced it into a telephone pole.

The driver of the car, along with two people in the SUV, were taken to Ellis Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

The emergency vehicle involved was not an ambulance as previously reported.
