BROWARD, Fla. — Walter Dix, a BSO fire rescue captain, stepped outside Tuesday to check on a special Christmas cargo he and his colleagues were storing in a van.
What he saw shocked him: A grinch had made off with the $5,000 worth of holiday toys the firefighters had collected for children with cancer.
