MOULTON, Ala. — A fire that killed two north Alabama firefighters last week was an accident, investigators said Monday in ruling out any link to arson.
The blaze, which destroyed Outdoor Parts and Service Inc., killed Moulton fire Capt. Lloyd McCulloch, 63, and firefighter Duston Jones, 23. The men died when a wall collapsed in the building.
While never believed to be linked to a recent string of 10 church arsons, agents from the task force investigating those fires helped determine the cause of the Moulton blaze since it involved fatalities.
