REDLANDS, Calif. — The Redlands Professional Firefighters Local 1354 hosted the Fourth Annual Lighting the Way 10K-5K-1K race on Sunday at the University of Redlands to benefit families who have a child with cancer.

More than 400 people participated.

The Redlands Professional Firefighters have participated in previous Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California fundraisers, including the annual calendar. They have visited children at the hospital and have participated as special guests at many CCFSC events.

Receiving non-profit status in September of 1981, CCFSC is now more than 650 families strong, serving children with cancer and their families throughout Southern California emotionally, financially, educationally and with emergency assistance. CCFSC works directly with the families to identify their need for support.
