Benefit held for Wildland Firefighter Foundation

Neither rain nor mud nor dark of night could keep California firefighters from trudging laps along a cold and damp American River Bike Trail last weekend.
The 52-mile walk was hosted by the El Dorado Hotshots, an elite wildland firefighter crew based in El Dorado County, to raise a targeted $52,000 for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF). The WFF provides financial and emotional support for families of firefighters who have been seriously injured or killed.
