CLEVELAND — Three Cleveland firefighters were injured when a car drove into them on Sunday.
The firefighters were next to a fire truck while responding to a traffic incident when a 29-year-old man drove between the median and the apparatus, striking the responders, according to WKYC.
The driver was arrested for aggravated vehicular assault after the incident, which hospitalized all three firefighters.
One firefighter sustained serious lower body injuries and required surgery, while another suffered a lacerated kidney and rib injuries.
Two of the firefighters remain hospitalized.
