AURORA, Colo. — Two people, including an Aurora firefighter, were bitten by a large dog in Aurora Sunday morning.
The men were attacked by the dog, possibly a Rottweiler, around 11:30 a.m. in the 17700 block of East Oxford Place, said Fire Captain Mike Ackman.
The firefighter, TJ Malone, was responding to a report of a man who was bleeding after being chased and bitten by the dog, Ackman said.
The man reportedly was attempting to put the dog back in its yard when it attacked him. Firefighters followed a trail of blood but could not find the man.
Malone was bitten while trying to restrain the dog, Ackman said. He received a few stitches on his hand.
