The Dallas Morning News

DALLAS — A firefighter apparently frustrated with police response time to a traffic accident was arrested after reportedly poking an officer in the chest early Sunday, police said.

Dallas Fire-Rescue Capt. Kenneth Harris was charged with offensive contact, a Class C misdemeanor. The incident occurred about 4 a.m. at Stemmons Freeway and Walnut Hill Lane.

Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said his department is investigating.

“There are a lot of interpretations of this one incident,” Mr. Evans said. “At this point, we don’t know the accurate one.”
