LAS VEGAS — A firefighter is recovering from a knee injury and investigators are probing the cause of a fire that damaged a home in a historic neighborhood south of downtown Las Vegas.
Fire spokesman Tim Szymanski says one room of the 1940s-era house on Sixth Street near Charleston Boulevard was gutted in the 7 p.m. Tuesday fire.
The attic of was also damaged, but two adults and a pet dog who live in the single-family house escaped injury.
Szymanski says damage is estimated at $75,000.
