COLUMBUS, Ga. — A Columbus fire lieutenant has resigned, one day after his arrest on drug charges.
33 year old Jason Dempsey was charged with selling methamphetamine and cocaine and distributing a controlled substance.
Officers with the Metro Narcotics Task Force have been investigating Dempsey for the last month. Dempsey worked as a firefighter and EMT for ten years in Columbus — serving at station nine, off Jay Street in the Edgewood community.
