TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Firefighters received honors from some of the state’s leading politicians, thanks to their dedication to volunteerism.
Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink recognized firefighters for their contribution of nearly $2.6 million to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In turn, CFO Sink and fellow Cabinet members designated this week as “Florida Firefighter Appreciation Week.”
“Funds collected by our Florida firefighters assist MDA in providing medical services in local clinics, support groups, public education seminars at no cost to Florida’s children,” said Sink.
