BELLAIRE, Mich. — Former Grand Traverse firefighter Cory Carlton must serve probation and pay fines and costs for causing a crash that killed a Traverse City woman and her infant son.
Carlton, 27, was ordered to serve two years of probation and pay approximately $400 after pleading no contest last month to a misdemeanor traffic violation in the March 8, 2005, deaths of Rebecca Garrisi, 28, and her 11-month-old son, Jesse.
“It has been a long and difficult affair for everyone,” said Carlton’s attorney, Roger Wotila.
