PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Authorities say a woman and three children have died in a house fire in Portsmouth, Ohio.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire was reported early Friday morning.
Authorities believe seven people were in the house at the time. Three have been taken to a hospital in Columbus. There is no word on their conditions, and officials have not released any information about the four who died.
Investigators believe the fire started in the rear of the two-story, wood-frame house. The cause has not been determined. The house had no smoke detectors.
Portsmouth is about 85 miles south of Columbus.
