Four people died late Tuesday and early today in an Akron house fire.
Dead are Abdul Shaik, 68; Bibi Shaik, 57; Saeeda Shaik, 26; and Samir Shaik, 2, the Summit County Medical Examiner’s office reported.
All four died in a fire at 40 E. Mapledale Ave. in south Akron. The fire broke out about 11:30 p.m.
More details of the fire were not available this morning from the Akron Fire Department.
The boy and Abdul Shaik were pronounced dead at Akron Children’s Hospital, the medical examiner’s office said.
The 57-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the 26-year-old woman at Akron City Hospital, the office said.
The four were all believed to be related, but the details were not immediately known, officials said.
Autopsies were planned later today.
