MCDONOUGH, Ga. — Henry County officials have ended in investigation into allegations of hazing after disciplining four firefighters for hitting each other with wooden paddles.
Public Safety Director Mike Turner said yesterday the investigation showed the paddling was not hazing or part of an indoctrination of new firefighters. Turner says the paddling began as teasing that escalated into “horseplay” that went too far.
