JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Johns Creek will dedicate Fire Station No. 63 in memory of the late firefighter Felix M. Roberts during a June 19 ceremony at the station at 3165 Old Alabama Road.

Roberts was a member of the Fulton County Fire Department when he died May 28, 2007, trying to save a man inside a burning home in Johns Creek. The city was only 6 months old at the time and still under Fulton’s fire protection. The resident also died in the blaze and two other firefighters were injured.

The public is invited to the 10 a.m. ceremony. Guests should use the parking and shuttle service provided by Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church at 9820 Nesbit Ferry Road because of limited parking at the fire station.
