HULL, Mass. — John Clasby never knew the source of the bullet that tore into his body and lodged in his spine while he fought a fire at Hull’s Sunset Point in 1999.
Clasby spent the next nine years in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down and frustrated by the lack of answers about the bullet’s origin.
But family members of the former Hull firefighter, who died Tuesday from injuries sustained that day nine years ago, said they are “at peace” with the mysterious accident that changed his life.
