GAINSVILLE, Mo. — A Missouri firefighter died Friday while responding to an emergency call.
Volunteer Firefighter Donald E. Schaper, 53, suffered an unknown medical emergency himself after arriving at the scene in his personal vehicle, according to the USFA.
Responders administered medical care on scene and he was transported to Baxter Regional Hospital in Mountain Home Arkansas where he died.
