N.C. deputy chief dies in sleep

A deputy fire chief died in his sleep at his firehouse in North Carolina .

Jerry Donley, 45, was found dead in his bunk by colleagues at Swetsonville (N.C.) Volunteer Fire Department, Wednesday morning.

Donley had spent Tuesday cleaning up equipment from a fire call that occurred the previous day and responding to at least one EMS incident before going to bed at the station. He had no known medical conditions and the cause of death is still to be determined.
