PALM BAY, Fla. — An off-duty Fla. firefighter used his own car as a shield to stop a runaway vehicle.
A black SUV was drifting toward an intersection in Palm Bay when the firefighter saw what was happening and used his own car to block it, according to WFTV.
“I just think it’s what anyone else would’ve done,” he said. “It’s only metal; metal over life, it’s no big deal to me.”
The driver suffered a medical condition and was slumped over the wheel. Her current condition is unknown.
