CINCINNATI — An apartment fire injuring three people in a Cincinnati suburb is now considered a suspected arson.
The apartment building was destroyed, firefighters told WKRC. Flames were erupting from the rear of the eight-unit building. The motive for the fire is unknown.
One resident jumped from a window, resulting in minor burns and scrapes.
One firefighter and neighbor were also treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
“My son came in saying the house next door was on fire,” neighbor Feed Lagrandier told WKRC.
“We had neighbors banging on the door, everybody had to evacuate.”
Investigators estimate the fire will cost $80,000 in damages and the Red Cross will assist the five displaced apartment residents.
