RANDALLSTOWN, Md. — A Baltimore County fire official says a firefighter was injured battling flames at a Randallstown home.
Firefighters were called to the two-story home in the 3700 block of Courtleigh Drive around 5:15 p.m. Sunday. It took firefighters more than an hour to control the one-alarm blaze.
Fire department spokeswoman Elise Armacost says the fire started in the basement but a gas line break fueled the fire and it spread to the upper levels of the home.
Armacost says there were people home when the fire broke out, but they made it out safely.
She says one firefighter was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview suffering from smoke inhalation.
