SUTHERLIN, Ore. — A firefighter and paramedic who lives in Sutherlin was arrested on suspicion of two counts of third-degree sex abuse Tuesday.
Michael Shane Shipley, 35, was arrested by state police detectives after a two-month investigation into allegations of sexual abuse involving male juveniles.
Shipley, a five-year veteran with North Douglas Fire & EMS, has also served as a firefighter and paramedic for numerous agencies in Douglas County, according to an Oregon State Police press release.
