CHESTER, S.C. — A volunteer firefighter had a heart attack and died in his car Tuesday evening while surveying the land for downed trees and power lines in Chester, officials say.
Jimmy Cameron, 47, pulled over, turned off his car and died in the southern part of the county after a storm hit around 6:30 p.m., officials say.
Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker pronounced the man dead in his vehicle.
