Fire causes $250K in damages at NY store

Investigators are investigating the fire as a possible arson

AMHERST, N.Y. — Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire inside the Target store on Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Firefighters from the North Bailey Fire Company were called to the store around 3pm. Amherst Police tell 2 On Your Side the fire was started in the Men’s department of the store, and was contained to the area. Investigators are investigating the fire as a possible arson. The store was evacuated.

EMT’s and paramedics from Twin Cities Ambulance were also called to the scene. Police say one Target employee was treated on the scene by emergency crews for an unknown ailment.
