Former Pa. firefighter gets prison sentences for arson, witness intimidation

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. — A former volunteer firefighter was sentenced Monday to 2.5 to 15 years in prison after entering guilty pleas in 10 felony cases.

Dylan Charles Dalessio, 21, entered the guilty pleas earlier this year to “four first-degree felony counts of arson-danger of death or bodily injury, three first-degree felony counts of conspiracy to commit arson, a first-degree felony count of intimidating a witness to withhold testimony, a second-degree felony count of arson with the intent to destroy an unoccupied building, and a third-degree felony count of fraud for insurance purposes,” the Indiana Gazette reported.

Dalessio was charged with another former firefighter, Nicholas Peter Leone, 24, in three of those cases.

Dalessio is to serve the prison sentences concurrently.
