LAWTON, Okla. — A volunteer firefighter in Temple is facing arson charges after court documents state he admitted to setting three fires to make his grandmother happy, KSWO reports.
Collin West is facing three counts of second degree arson and one count of third degree arson.
According to an interview cited in court documents, West set intentional fires to three unoccupied buildings and two RV’s in April and May. Surveillance video shows him driving up to one of the buildings, walk in, then run out after the fire started, investigators said.

KSWO reports West drove away from the building, only to go back to the fire department to respond to the fire. Court documents state when West was interviewed and asked why he set the fires, he told investigators that his grandmother disliked the properties and wanted them burned. He clarified that she did not ask him to do this, investigators said.
West is being held on a $75,000 bond.
