Chicago firefighter punched while responding to call

CHICAGO — A firefighter was punched several times while responding to a domestic-related incident Wednesday morning.
ABC7.com reported that the on-duty firefighter was responding to an incident in a neighborhood on the South Side. Police said a 25-year-old man punched the firefighter multiple times, according to the report.
The firefighter was transported to the hospital and was reported in stable condition.
Police took the man into custody, according to the report.
