WASHINGTON — A firefighter is in the hospital after being assaulted by a group of people.
NBC Washington reported that the firefighter was part of a crew that responded to a call at a home.
When crews arrived, four or five people assaulted one of the firefighters, a spokesperson for D.C. Fire and EMS said. Additional fire units arrived and transported the firefighter to the hospital, where he is recovering.
