Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson to Deliver the Keynote Address at the 26th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner

The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) is proud to announce that Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson will deliver the keynote address at the 26th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner. The event will take place on May 1st at 7 pm at the Washington Hilton. The theme of this year’s program is “Cultivating Relationships”.

Prior to being sworn in as the fourth Secretary of Homeland Security on December 23, 2013, Secretary Johnson served as General Counsel for the Department of Defense. His career has included extensive service in national security, law enforcement, and as an attorney in a private corporate law practice. A graduate of Morehouse College, Secretary Johnson received a law degree from Columbia Law School in 1982.

The dinner culminates a two-day program hosted by CFSI and attended by nearly 2,000 fire and emergency service officials from across the country. The program will feature seminars covering a broad range of national issues conducted by prominent public safety leaders. Attendees will also spend part of their time in Washington, DC meeting with their members of Congress to discuss issues of concern to public safety.
