BOSTON — Firefighters at Boston’s most visible firehouse woke up Sunday morning to find out that crime doesn’t take the day off.
A boot display kept outside the firehouse on Boylston Street, used to collect money for charity, was stolen overnight.
The Boylston street firehouse is home to Boston Fire Department Engine 33 and Ladder 15, also the firehouse of fallen Lt. Ed Walsh and firefighter Michael Kennedy. “It’s just pretty low what they did,” said Boston firefighter Eric Evans.
