GLENPOOL, Okla. — A group of firefighters who have experienced a baby boom in the past year commemorated the occasion with a special photoshoot.

CBS News reported that seven Glenpool Fire Department firefighters, who have all become dads recently, posed with their little ones as their wives took the photos.

“Honestly, it was difficult to get seven babies to cooperate for a picture so we all had some good laughs,” wife Melanie Todd said. “We all joked about knowing which kid not to let theirs hangout with.”

Todd said they waited until the last baby was born before they got everyone together for the photo session.

“After we saw the final pictures, we were excited,” she said.

One photo features all seven babies being held by their firefighter dads, and another shows them hanging out on top of their dads’ firefighter jackets.

“We’re a really close group so we were glad we took the time to capture the babies with their daddies,” Todd said. “Now we just look forward to seeing them all grow up together.”

Firefighter Mick Whitney said the baby boom was purely a “coincidence.”

“We all just happen to have kids right under a year,” Whitney said. “It’s a pretty neat deal. All the guys and wives spend time in the station and outside of the station. It’s a little different in our group. We go out fishing, hanging out. It’s a unique dynamic.”
