Volunteer firefighter, 18, dies in rollover crash

DODGE COUNTY, Minn. — An 18-year-old volunteer firefighter was killed when he was thrown from a car as it rolled into a ditch Friday night.

FOX9 reported that the car was traveling southbound on a county road when it went off the road and rolled into a ditch. Three of the four people in the car were not wearing their seatbelt and were thrown from the vehicle during the crash.

Logan Maas, a senior in high school and volunteer firefighter with the Dodge County (Minn.) Fire Department, was killed in the crash. A 17-year-old driver and two other passengers were hurt in the crash.

Members of the department set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral costs.
