NEW YORK — The FDNY battled a five-alarm fire involving a transportation department warehouse in Queens on Sept. 4.

Firefighters fought the fire from a defensive position as the fire involved the roof of the building. Fireboats drafting from Flushing Bay assisted with the fireground water supply.

Five firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
