CHERRY HILLS VILLAGE, Colo. — Two South Metro firefighters were taken to the hospital after a fire at a home in Cherry Hills Village on Saturday.
“My understanding is it’s two unrelated events that created their injuries,” said Eric Hurst with South Metro Fire Rescue Authority.
Hurst also said the injuries are minor and the firefighters sought treatment as a precaution. “When crews arrived on scene they found there was smoke visible from the home, called in more help at that point,” said Hurst.
