JACKSON, Mich. — While fighting a blaze which appears to be suspicious, two firefighters were injured with one going to a hospital, a fire department official says.
At 1:16 a.m. Thursday, June 27, Jackson and Summit Township firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire in the 900 block of S. Jackson Street. The house was vacant at the time of the fire, Assistant Chief Steve Childs said.
The three-story house was burning on all three levels, Childs said, adding the structure was damaged, but does not appear to be a total loss. The last unit to leave the scene was about 4:40 a.m.
