FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A mobile home fire took the lives of three people Saturday night in Cumming.

A motorist noticed the flames at 10:45 p.m. while driving past a home in the 8900 block of Little Mill Road and continued to a Forsyth County fire station less than a quarter-mile away to report it.

The three bodies were taken to the GBI Crime Lab. The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Forsyth County fire Capt. Jason Shivers said firefighters were on the scene by 10:47 and did a “quick knockdown on the fire, but unfortunately, the deaths had already occurred.”

The fire is under investigation, Shivers said, but fire investigators and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department had no details Sunday regarding the cause of the blaze.
