KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A fire Tuesday night damaged a building used by the Knoxville Fire Department.
The building, built in 1965, was the department’s old alarm room. It is now used by the radio technician officer and for storage of fire department records.
Firefighters were dispatched about 11:25 p.m. to 203 Locust St. and found flames had broken out in the downstairs portion of the building, according to Knoxville Fire Department Capt. D.J. Corcoran.
The building was unoccupied when the fire was reported.
No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
