TAMPA, Fla. — A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a fire at a furniture store.
Officials told the Tampa Bay Times a second crew was called to prevent the fire from spreading to other businesses.
The roof of the building collapsed, and aerial units helped contain the fire after firefighters had to exit due to high heat.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Tampa Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Penny said the damage to the building is estimated at around $165,000.
