STOCKTON, Ill. — An Illinois fire station caught fire Tuesday morning, damaging most of the equipment and trucks inside.
WQAD.com reported heavy smoke was pouring out of the Stockton Fire Department station when police arrived on scene. Firefighters were able to get one pumper out of the station and used it to help control the fire until other departments arrived.
Most of the department’s equipment and fire trucks were damaged or destroyed by the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated. No injuries were reported.
