MEDINA, Ohio — A Medina firefighter injured his shoulder Sunday night when he and a second firefighter fell through the floor in a burning home.
The two firefighters were in a second-story bedroom when the floor collapsed, dropping them into a garage, Medina Fire Chief Bob Painter said.
“The whole floor just gave way,” Painter said. “It was probably about a 12-foot fall.” Painter declined to release the injured firefighter’s name but said he is a 15-year veteran. He was released from Medina Hospital on Monday but will need six to eight weeks for recovery.
