ERIE, Pa., — Members of the West Lake Fire Department in Millcreek Township are cleaning up this morning after a fire broke out in their station on Thursday night.
The fire was spotted shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the chief’s office at the fire station, 3762 West Lake Road, department President Gary Rictor said this morning.
The fire broke out in a wall-mounted space heater in the office. Two department members doused the fire with an extinguisher and a hose, Rictor said.
There were no injuries in the fire. The fire was contained to the office, but there was smoke damage throughout the station, Rictor said.
