Phoenix firefighter injured after falling off roof
The firefighter, who is in stable condition, fell off due to hazy conditions from the smoke
PHOENIX — A Phoenix firefighter is in stable condition after falling off the roof of a home while battling a fire Tuesday morning.
ABC15 reported that crews were called to the house fire before 4 a.m. and found smoke and flames coming from the home.
The firefighter, a 10-year veteran, was on the roof, but fell about 10 feet due to hazy conditions from the smoke. He is listed in stable condition, but was taken to a hospital to be evaluated. He suffered a fractured wrist, arm and experienced back pain.
No other injuries were reported and the house was vacant.
