LORTON, Va. — Fairfax County fire officials say a massive fire broke out at a trash and recycling depot building in Lorton.
Media outlets report that the firefighters were called to the recycling and disposal facility on Furnace Road on Thursday night and smoke was still visible Friday morning. Officials say there were three stories of trash on fire and they expect to be on the scene through the day Friday.
The cause and origin of the fire were not immediately clear.
