LYNN, Mass. — Firefighters battled a four-alarm fire that broke out in an apartment building in Lynn late Sunday night. The fire started at about midnight at 145 Lewis Street and quickly engulfed the building.

Lynn Fire Department Chief James McDonald said crews had issues with the water supply used to fight the flames.

Several residents were forced to use fire escapes to get out of the burning building. There have been no reports of any injuries, but fire officials said the building appears to be a complete loss.
