VICTOR, N.Y. — Members of a volunteer fire department battled a blaze at one of their two fire stations Wednesday morning.

The Associated Press reported that firefighters with the Fishers Fire Department were alerted at 3 a.m. to a fire at the department’s station, which has been empty for months because of ongoing renovations.

The fire chief said the fire was in the ceiling and attic space, but it didn’t spread into the new addition being built.

No one was injured and none of the fire gear was damaged.

The blaze was under control in about an hour and the cause is under investigation.
